The 6th International Conference on Traffic Engineering and Transportation System (ICTETS 2022) Successfully Held



         On September 24, the 6th International Conference on Traffic Engineering and Transportation System (ICTETS 2022) was successfully held online. The Conference was organized by Chongqing Jiaotong University, co-organized by Southwest Jiaotong University, Research Institute of Highway Ministry of Transport, Dalian Maritime University, Beijing Jiaotong University, China Waterborne Transport Research Institute, and Lanzhou Jiaotong University, and undertaken by Academic Exchange Information Centre (AEIC).

In his remarks at the Opening Ceremony, Professor Liu Zhengjiang, Former Vice President of Dalian Maritime University and Member of the Discipline Review Group of the State Council, extended warm congratulations to the Conference and expressed his sincere gratitude to the experts for their guidance, the students attending the Conference, and the colleagues of AEIC for their support. Professor Liu said that the purpose of the Conference is to provide a platform for sharing scientific research achievements and cutting-edge technologies, learning about academic development trends, broadening research ideas, conducting academic research and discussion, and promoting cooperation in the industrialization of academic achievements and  he hoped that everyone would gain a lot in this academic conference!

Professor Sheng Jinlu, Dean of School of Shipping and Naval Architecture,  Chongqing Jiaotong University, said in his speech that the School of Shipping and Naval Architecture adheres to the orientation of social needs and follows the positioning of "based on Southwest China, relying on the Yangtze River, and facing the ocean". Upholding the philosophy of schooling of "study for application, pragmatism, and innovation", the School carries forward the school spirit of "ships voyaging on the ocean", vigorously inherits the new spirit of navigation and marine culture, and strives to cultivate excellent young talents  for the purpose of serving the strategy of becoming a transportation power. Experts, scholars, and young students  exchanged academic achievements and innovative ideas at the conference, and then the innovation enthusiasm of transportation system scientists and technicians was stimulated. 

Professor Yang Zhongzhen of Ningbo University, Member of the Discipline Evaluation Group of the State Council, Professor Zhou Lijun of Southwest Jiaotong University, Professor Syed Abdul Rehman Khan of Xuzhou University of Technology, Professor Liu Zhuangzhuang of Chang'an University, and Professor Ng Choy Peng of National Defence University of Malaysia were invited to the Conference and delivered excellent presentations. In addition, many scholars from Beijing Jiaotong University, Zhejiang Ocean University, Southwest Jiaotong University, Southeast University, Shandong University, and Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology delivered speeches and shared their views.

Professor Yang Zhongzhen delivered a keynote speech entitled Analysis of the Impact of Port Management System Reform on Port Competition Intensity. Professor Zhou Lijun delivered a keynote speech entitled Key Power Supply Equipment for High-speed Railway and New Technology for Its Safety Detection. Professor Syed Abdul Rehman Khan delivered a keynote speech on Green Practices in Global Supply Chain Management: Paths to Sustainable Development Goals. Professor Liu Zhuangzhuang delivered a keynote speech entitled Research on Active Ice and Snow Prevention and Control Technology on Road Pavement. Professor Ng Choy Peng delivered a keynote speech entitled  Indirect Impact of Relative Improvement of Road Traffic and Road Accessibility (MPA) on Economic Growth.

The Conference attracted more than 60 universities and research institutes, and more than 300 domestic and foreign scholars from all over the world to share and discuss the latest scientific achievements, which ended smoothly in a lively atmosphere of discussion.
