Looking forward to reading the comics and seeing the development of the characters, especially Gabriel and Qasim because I know nothing about Catholism and I see myself in Qasim. And I really like the name spellings and choices. How did you decide on the names?

    • http://rsquaredcomicz.wordpress.com R-Squared Comicz

I wanted each name to have a meaning, so I did an online search using name databases. In particular, I wanted their name meaning to have some relation to their ability and/or personality.

I’m eager to see how these more realistic and internal powers work in a comic book world. I think it could be very interesting!

Yeah me too! I’ve been thinking about how their abilities will manifest in a comic format. Some will definitely be more easier to portray than others. One thing’s for sure: I can’t wait to try my hand at some things…

The characters are interesting and make me want to read where you plan to take them, how their characters develop and change as a result. I think you’ve inspired a new project in me. My first novel is christian based – around revelations – but deeply scifi to be sure. I like your idea for a webcomic as your launching point. Great promotional strategy to share openly.

Great work overall. Keep it up.

Thanks, I’m glad you like them! I’m looking forward to where the characters “go” as well. As a new writer, I really want to make sure I “do the characters right.” But I know that in order to get better at writing you have to start it, so off I go, lol…

  • Wale

I like Ayden because he has potential bro. He has an honesty that is grounded in the life that he has experienced. He’s ripe for the Gospel.

That’s wassup bro! Yeah, he has the makings for an interesting character. Hopefully I can write him right (Lord willing).

I like the reasons that you supplied about why people believe or do not believe in God as well as how they view their ability. I think these aspects are important because they will definitely have an impact on how the characters respond to situations. I’m very interested in the scenarios that they will encounter! I also like the diversity in ethnic backgrounds. I did notice that the Hispanic was the stereotypical Catholic.. was that on purpose?!

    • http://rsquaredcomicz.wordpress.com thoughtz25

      Hey Crys,

Yeah, that was on purpose. Since I’m a new (beginning) writer and I’m starting with an ensemble cast (diverse characters), a major challenge for will be to make sure characters respond to situations in ways that are consistent with their personality and worldview, while also leaving room for them to grow and change. Pray for me on that, lol!

I like what I see. The characters here cover a gamut of people in different stages and categories of belief. I think it covers many bases and many people will be able to relate to at least one. My favorite is Qasim.

    • http://rsquaredcomicz.wordpress.com thoughtz25

Yeah, I think there’s a lot of potential in terms of where to take Qasim’s character.

  • Wendy H.

I like Solomon because his power (truth & lie detection) is the one I would want to have.

    • http://rsquaredcomicz.wordpress.com thoughtz25

I hear you. Wouldn’t that be cool?

I’m feeling the characters. I like the background info. I also like how you made it know if they believed in a higher being or not.

    • http://rsquaredcomicz.wordpress.com thoughtz25

Yeah, I figured that adding that aspect would offer some good insight into how they view and approach things. Take care and thanks for the feedback!
